Free, always. Joining a Playa del Carmen People Club group costs nothing - your number stays private, the chat stays spam-free, and there are zero ads inside.

Can I join more than one group?

Join every group that applies to you - most people do. A diver who works remote and shows up at the beach club on Sundays is a completely normal combination here, and 2 to 4 group memberships is typical.

What's the group size? Won't it be spammy?

No group grows past 250 members, and we moderate it like we'd want a group moderated - crypto pitches and random promo links get deleted on sight. It's built to stay a real chat, not a spam funnel.

I'm only in Playa del Carmen for 5 days. Worth joining?

Absolutely worth it for five days. Tourists - 10 Days puts you at a welcome dinner almost immediately, splits the ride in from the airport, and gets a dozen locals steering you to the right beach clubs before your first sunset.

I don't have WhatsApp. Another option?

It's the one app you'll need here regardless - taxis, dive shops, doctors, everything in Playa runs through it. If that's a hard no for you, send a note through the contact page and we'll talk options.

Are these groups safe? Vetted?

Nobody gets added without a quick intro message - photo, first name, where you're from, which group you're after. Report someone for harassment or a scam and they're gone. This stays a community for people passing through or living here, not a business directory.

Behind Playa del Carmen People Club are long-time locals and repeat travelers who think nobody should feel isolated here. One WhatsApp group in 2021 turned into ten today, and we still run it as a passion project, not a business.
